With a score of 9.0/10, the Malibu has been named the best affordable mid-sized car in the US

February 24th, 2016 by

The Chevrolet Malibu gives tough competition to the other class leaders by scoring a good 9.0 out of 10. The car gets this high score due to the spacious seats, easy-to-use infotainment system, a roomy trunk space, and the affordability factor.

The Chevrolet Malibu 2016 has a standard 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo-charged based engine, and an optional larger 4-cylinder turbo-charged engine. While the normal engine makes the day-to-day driving smooth, the larger engine gives more power to the vehicle. It comes with a standard 6-speed automatic transmission. There is also an option of choosing a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo-charged engine with 8-speed automatic transmission. The car gives a rough mileage of 27 on the city roads and 37 on the highways. An additional feature of stop/start increases the fuel economy as the engine shuts off when the car comes to a halt. It also comes with a standard front-wheel drive.

The interiors are spacious with more comfortable front and rear seats, and a larger trunk space. The high-end models are upholstered with top-class materials inside to give it a handsome look.
