A Look at the 2017 Chevy Cruze Hatchback
Chevrolet has recently revealed photos of the new 2017 Cruze Hatchback, ahead of the scheduled global debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. The Cruze sedan is currently Chevrolet’s best-selling car in the world. There have been 3.5 million Cruze sedans sold globally since its arrival in 2008, so the new version is likely to be a huge hit. Though hatchbacks have not been widely embraced in the U.S. as they have in other parts of the world, Chevy recently announced nine percent growth in U.S. sales of small hatchback vehicles. The new model is lighter and yet more rigid than the Cruze sedan, with a turbocharged 1.4-liter 4-cylinder and fuel-saving stop/start technology. The EPA-estimated mpg is 26 city/38 highway for the 2016 Cruze sedan, so the hatchback edition should see mpg in the range upwards of 40.
